This year for London Open House on 18 September I will be leading two walks. Liveable City of London will look at the developments in the City of London’s landscapes which are significantly changing the look and feel of what was once a district devoted only to the needs of the financial institutions. The combination of the congestion charge, the ‘ring of steel’, new shops and tourists crossing the Millennium Bridge means that the City’s public realm is having to adapt to many new demands.
The second walk will focus on the history and development on Golden Lane Estate. Details soon when the Open House booklet is published.
